Just got this picture over email and can't stop smiling. Wouldn't buses everywhere look better with a giant gold stiletto on the side? Sending huge hugs to all my friends at Harper Collins UK! xoxo

So it's been a great publication week so far! Mentions in all my favorites: US Weekly, Entertainment Weekly, and now Star. Also had a terrific event at Barnes & Noble last night on the Upper East Side. Thanks to everyone who came out for it...great to meet all of you!
Stay tuned for more pics as soon as I figure out how to use the fancy new card reader....

So, the first box of LAST NIGHT AT CHATEAU MARMONT books just arrived at my apartment with a rather stern message sticker on the side. Now, I know the warning is intended for bookstores, who aren't supposed to display or sell the books until publication day, but I can't help feeling like the book police is going to show up when I tear into this box.
Oh well, here goes!

Just wanted to share the new and totally different cover for
Chasing Harry Winson in Mass Market Paperback. I really love what Pocket Books has done with the new art and color, and I hope you do too. It will be out January 26, 2010, so be sure to pick up a copy!

Although of course there a million books I love, I've never recommended one in particular (until now). I cannot say enough about
Swann's Last Song- it is truly a fantastic book, even for someone who doesn't read a lot of mysteries (me). It's smart and beautifully written and absolutely page-turning, which is essential to (and not so easy to find) a great summer read....
Swann's Last Song is written by
Charles Salzberg, my friend, writing teacher, and mentor...and one hell of a terrific guy. I promise you won't be disappointed. You can click
here to order a copy.
